Preis ihm allein! 2. Ihm will ich leben, o welche Freud! Preis ihm allein! 3. Preis ihm allein! Text: Frances Jane Crosby, 1820-1915 Melodie: Phoebe Knapp, 1839-1898 Deutsch: Heinrich Rickers, 1864-1928 Original: Blessed assurance 1. Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine! O what a foretaste of glory divine! Heir of salvation, purchase of God, Born of his Spirit, washed in His blood. This is my story, this is my song, praising my Savior, all the day long. This is my story, this is my song, praising my Savior, all the day long. 2. Perfect submission, perfect delight! Visions of rapture now burst on my sight

Pass Me Not, O Gentle Savior; Written by Fanny Crosby

Trusting only in Thy merit, Would I seek Thy face; Heal my wounded, broken spirit, Save me by Thy Grace! Let me at a throne of mercy, Find a sweet relief; Kneeling there in deep contrition, Help my unbelief! Jesus, do not pass me by!

blessed assurance

A hymn written by Fanny Crosby (1820-1915) Fanny Crosby wrote more than eight thousand hymns…she didn’t start writing until she was forty, but she made up for lost time. The fact that she was blind didn’t diminish her productivity. Blinded in infancy due to a doctor’s error, Crosby demonstrates no bitterness in her songs. Blinded to the light of this world, she had a light shining in her soul. (from The One Year Book of Hymns)
