Charles H. Spurgeon ~ Private Devotions
***Watch in HD*** From Spurgeon’s sermon, “A Song at the Well-head” No. 776. Num. 21:16-18Charles Haddon Spurgeon (1834-92) was England’s best-known preacher for most of the second half of the nineteenth century. In 1854, just four years after his conversion, Spurgeon, then only 20, became pastor of London’s famed New Park Street Church (formerly pastored by the famous Baptist theologian John Gill). The congregation quickly outgrew their building, moved to Exeter Hall, then to Surrey Music Hall. In these venues Spurgeon frequently preached to audiences numbering more than 10000—all in the days before electronic amplification. In 1861 the congregation moved permanently to the newly constructed Metropolitan Tabernacle. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ “Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for “fair use” for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research. I never tire of this man’s preaching. Spurgeon was a gift from God to His church.
@ProclaimHisWord
Indeed…and to us who read his literary works as well.
(or watch him, as in vids etc. , listen to him as on MP3 etc.)
I very much like these relatively short videos you are producing, for while they may be short in length, they are tremendously long in the wisdom of God. The HD looks great too by the way. I need to look at producing HD videos myself, as the sharpness and clarity of the text is far superior, aside from the photo.
Thanks so much for your continued efforts…it is much appreciated.
@stack45ny
Thank you, brother.
My husband and I very much enjoy your uploaded videos.
